What Each Price Buys
Both companies sell a monthly job slot you can reuse as often as you like. That makes the price comparison unusually clean, because you are not comparing a subscription against an auction or against a 14-day post.
One slot with iHireConstruction is $369 a month. One local slot with us is $40 a month, and one per diem slot is $80. Ten slots with them is $799 a month; ten local slots with us is about $350.
The premium covers things we do not sell: a searchable resume database, syndication across the wider iHire network, more than 50 applicant tracking system integrations, and reach into the back-office roles around a project. Worth paying for if you use them. If you do not, $369 is $329 more a month for the same reusable slot.
SkilledTrades.com by the Numbers
Every job on the platform is a trades job. Local and per diem hiring live in the same place, the price is published, and you can cancel any time.

Where We Have the Edge
Per diem work, and a person doing the looking.
We are built for both halves of construction hiring. A local opening and a travel job are different problems, and they live in the same place here. The daily per diem rate is a field on the post and it appears on the listing, because for a traveling tradesperson that is the number that decides whether the job is worth taking. It does not sit buried in the description where nobody can search or sort by it.
The larger difference is that somebody here works your job. iHireConstruction sells you access to a database of construction resumes and you do the searching. Our Employment Specialists actively source against your opening through trade schools, talent banks, social channels and our own data, and then they pick up the phone. You are not buying a search box and doing the work yourself.
That is the case for adding us rather than replacing them. They reach the back-office roles around a project, which we do not, and their integrations are worth paying for if you depend on them. If the job is an electrician, a welder or a pipefitter, and some of them travel, this is the side of the market we built the product for.
Common Questions
Including the answers that do not flatter us.
How much does iHireConstruction cost?
One job slot is $369 a month, three slots $450 a month, and ten slots $799 a month. There is no long-term commitment. Those were the prices on their own job ads page in September 2026. The $349 figure widely quoted elsewhere is out of date.
Is SkilledTrades.com cheaper?
Substantially, for the same shape of product. A local job slot is $40 a month and a per diem slot is $80, against their $369 entry slot. Both companies make slots reusable, so the comparison is like for like.
What do they offer that you do not?
A much larger resume database at 175,004 construction resumes, syndication across the wider iHire network, more than 50 applicant tracking system integrations, and coverage of the back-office roles around a construction project, such as accounting, human resources and administration. We carry project managers, superintendents, QA/QC and safety alongside the trades, but not those.
Do they support per diem?
We could not verify a structured per diem field, because their posting form sits behind a login, so we will not claim it does not exist. It is not documented on their employer pages. On SkilledTrades.com the daily rate is a field on the post and it appears on the listing.
Which has more candidates?
They publish 175,004 construction resumes and about 2.8 million across the full iHire network. Theirs is larger, and it reaches back-office roles we do not carry. Ours is built around 32 construction job titles and nothing else.
What is a job slot?
A subscription that keeps one job post live. Slots are reusable, so when a job is filled you can close it and post a different one in the same slot as many times as you like without paying again. Both companies work this way.
What makes a job post fill faster?
State the pay clearly, and if it is travel work, state the daily per diem rate. If a post is not drawing the right people, our Employment Specialists will review it with you.
